Local student pages for House Republican Leader

Alexandra Pollard, a sophomore at Capital High School, recently spent a week serving as a page in the Washington House of Representatives.  She was sponsored by House Republican Leader, Richard DeBolt, R-Chehalis.

Alexandra is the daughter of Olympia residents Cynthia and Johnny Pollard.

While serving as page, her responsibilities included delivering messages and documents to legislators and legislative assistants, committee meetings and House chambers.

Young men and women have come to Olympia to serve as pages for the Washington State Legislature since 1891. To become a page, students must be in good academic standing and obtain permission from their parents and school.
